How to Fill Out a Basketball Score Sheet
A brief overview...
Score keepers must eliminate distractions and pay attention.
Out of respect for both teams, they must strive for perfect accuracy.
To fill the basketball score sheet out professionally, use a red pen for the 1st and 3rd quarters, and a blue or black pen for the 2nd and 4th quarters + overtime.
Before the game begins, fill out the main details, including:
- Date
- Time
- Team Names
- League
- Referees
- etc
Then ask the coach to fill out their team roster by listing each player's name and number.
During the game, keep a running score by crossing off the points in the correct column, making sure to write down the number of the player who made the shot as well.
When the referee signals that a player has committed a foul, mark it down next to them.
